Privacy Policy

It’s entirely possible we haven’t met yet. Or, perhaps you’ve already dropped us a line or are thinking about doing it. Or, in some other way, shared a piece of information about you and have not come to terms with what this means. Be that as it may, we are very grateful for your trust. And promise that we will not spend a single byte of your invaluable information on anything but on making your interaction with us as valuable and fruitful as possible.

Below is the document which sheds light on how we collect information, why we do it, and what you will get. Please check it out, and then we go.

General Provisions and Basic Objectives

We understand that mutual trust is the only way to get a good thing going. That’s why PieSoft has developed this Privacy Statement. We respect your personal data and your privacy rights. And we will continue to uphold this clear vision of how to build a company-consumer relationship based on transparency, clarity, and predictability. We also inform you that we may apply new approaches to personal data processing, and all these changes will be reflected in this Privacy Note update.

Scope of this Policy

By using this Site, you’re confirming that you’re OK with the terms and conditions contained in this Privacy Policy. You agree that any dispute concerning the privacy or terms or any other agreement the Company has with you will be regulated by United States legislation. PieSoft retains the right to amend the Privacy Policy at any time, beyond reason, without prior notice to you. Since we want to be as transparent as possible about the changes we make, you’re welcome to see the latest Policy update at the footer.

How we collect information and what we use it for

When you use our Site, we may collect the Personal Information you chose to share with us. For example, in the Contact Us section, you provide us with your contact information. Our Services may use third-party analytics and advertising cookies to understand your intentions better and organize our work to meet your expectations and business needs fully. The information collected may include, for example, time of visit, pages visited, referring site details, your country, platform type, etc. If you want to opt-out, you may download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add On for your web browser.

Contact form

When you go to our contact page on the Website, you are asked to fill out the contact form and provide some basic information about yourself. This information is then stored in our CRM Database and later may be used to contact you regarding the issues you mentioned in the request or for marketing purposes (see Marketing). Contact form data come to our Sales Team.

Cookies and analytics

Does the PieSoft site use cookies, and why? Yes. But it’s not about “first-party cookies.” We do not create and store them on our Site directly but use third-party technical capabilities (like Google Analytics, Facebook, etc.) to know our audience better and improve our Website.

Before we get into that, let’s just see if we are on the same page regarding this issue. A cookie is a small file, typically of letters and numbers, downloaded to your device when you access a website. It serves as a unique identifier and helps us distinguish you from other users. When you open our Website next time, cookies stored on your device are sent back to the analytical centers (Google Analytics, Facebook, or any other sources we’d like to use) so that we can say, “Hello, nice to see you again.” Not personally, of course, because there are no personal data in cookies.

Types of cookies we use

  • Analytics Cookies – these cookies collect aggregated information about user behavior on the Site and do not contain information that may lead to your identification. The data we get with the help of Analytics Cookies are anonymous and are only used to provide statistical information about our Website as a whole.

How to control cookies

The simplest way to avoid the use of cookies is to open a ‘private browsing’ / “incognito” session, which allows you to browse a website without storing local data. Or you can control cookies by changing your browser settings to do any of the following:

  • Allow all cookies at all times
  • Clear all cookies when you close a browser session
  • Block third-party cookies at all times
  • Block all cookies at all times
  • Delete all cookies stored on your device

Remember that some pages may not work if you completely disable cookies, but most third-party cookies can be safely blocked. You may find specific instructions on managing cookies in your browser’s help section and install add-ons and plug-ins to extend your browser functionality. And again, there’s always the possibility to download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add On for your web browser. So, it is all up to you!

We continually update and test our security technology. In addition, we train our employees on the importance of maintaining the privacy and security of our users’ information.

Marketing

As described earlier, PieSoft collects and uses your personal data for marketing purposes as well. Your data will be stored in our CRM Database. We will use your data to contact you regarding the issues you mentioned in the Request Form. We may use your data to inform you about PieSoft products and services we think may be of your interest and send you our newsletters. But don’t worry, we won’t be intrusive. You can always opt-out of our special attention by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in the marketing emails PieSoft sends you or by using the relevant opt-out mechanism for non-email-based marketing (addressing our contact person, for example).

For statistical purposes, we collect information about your response to our emails and interaction with you to make decisions on future marketing. Please address our contact person if you want us to stop collecting and using this information.

Data subject rights

You can always opt-out of disclosing information to us. You may change your browser settings to accept or reject cookies or open a “private browsing” / “incognito” session to avoid using cookies. In that case, you may still use our Website, but some access to functionality may be restricted.

Data storage and retention

We don’t have a retention period for your data collected from contact forms on this Website. We keep it to be able to reach you when we have something relevant to your initial request.
The retention period for our web server logs is set to 3 days.

  • You have the right to object at any time to processing your personal data or request portability of your personal information by contacting PieSoft.
  • You can opt-out of marketing communications that PieSoft sends you at any time using the relevant opt-out mail or non-email marketing mechanisms.

  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority about PieSoft’s collection and use of your personal information. For more information, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your local data protection authority.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, there is one exception to this rule. If your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, PieSoft may charge a reasonable fee to deal with the request or refuse to provide information at all. In most cases, we respond to all legitimate requests within 40 calendar days of receiving them. Occasionally, it may take longer if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of queries. In this case, PieSoft will notify you and keep you updated.
